Michael Uccelli
BACP - ACCREDITED PSYCHOTHERAPIST & SUPERVISOR
For more than 15 years, I've worked therapeutically with children and young people inside UK schools — hundreds of sessions, across primary and secondary settings, with children at every stage of development and families in every kind of situation.
Across all of it, one pattern has remained constant: parents who care deeply, and feel stuck. Not because they're bad parents. Not because their children are unusually difficult. But because nobody has ever given them the psychological tools to understand what's actually happening — and to respond in a way that changes the dynamic rather than reinforcing it.
Most parenting advice focuses on what to do. This programme focuses on something harder, and more lasting: how to understand — your child's behaviour, your own responses, and the patterns that form between the two of you.
I work from a Person-Centred approach, which means I value genuineness, empathy, and positive regard — not as techniques, but as the actual foundation of any meaningful change. That philosophy shapes every element of this programme.

A note on professional boundaries
This programme is educational in nature. It is entirely separate from my employed role within schools and is not affiliated with any school or institution. It is not therapy, and is not a substitute for clinical support where that is needed.
